From the cool mountains of Baguio City to Antwerp, Belgium, a local college is taking its commitment to education beyond the classroom. Data Center College of the Philippines of Baguio City, Inc. (DCCP) has been recognized as part of the growing international community of Ethos Universitas, marking a new chapter in the school’s pursuit of integrity, responsible leadership and international cooperation.
DCCP is now a newly recognized member of the Ethos Universitas community of higher education institutions, known for its international movement that recognizes colleges and universities that affirm shared values beyond academics. DCCP officially joins institutions from different countries in promoting principles such as integrity, academic responsibility and international cooperation under the leadership of President Julieta R. Agonia.
Ethos Universitas recognition focuses on the voluntary commitment of higher education institutions to ethical leadership and academic integrity. Its recognition mark represents three central principles: integrity, academic responsibility, and international cooperation.
DCCP is one of the Philippine institutions welcomed into this international community. Ethos Universitas, in an announcement welcoming DCCP, said its inclusion further strengthens the Philippine presence in its growing international community of higher education institutions.
DCCP’s recognition is formally represented by an Ethos Universitas 2026–2027 certificate issued to Data Center College of the Philippines of Baguio City. The certificate is dated August 5, 2026, in Antwerp, Belgium, duly signed by the President of Ethos Universitas, Prof. Dr. F. Van Loon, and the President of Panathlon International, Giorgio Chinellato.
For DCCP the significance of the recognition goes beyond the achievement itself. It shows the importance of developing students and educational lessons that value not only knowledge, but also responsibility and ethical conduct. The Ethos Universitas certificate may be only one document, and the recognition mark may be only one symbol.
